The Ruling on Clothing Made of Synthetic Silk

Question:

Does the prohibition of silk for men extend to those garments that are made of synthetic (artificial) silk?
Answer:

The prohibition of wearing silk (for men) is specific and does not extend to other materials, even if they are soft. But still, wearing clothes that do not resemble silk is more fitting for a man and is safer in terms of not imitating women. And with Allaah is the facilitation to do what is right.
